Job Description

This position is responsible for all Pharmacy Information Systems (PIS) applications. These responsibilities include implementation, training, support, troubleshooting, and maintenance of these systems. This position will also provide direction to the Pharmacy IT Analyst and serve as a subject matter expert. This individual will be involved in all implementations pertaining to or associated with clinical applications. Frequent travel may be involved. This position is required to support all new facility acquisitions. The Manager, PIS will provide needed support to all IASIS facilities and will require cooperation with the Clinical Nurse Informaticist(s). This position further serves as a project manager for pharmacy information systems implementation life cycle and ongoing support. Position reports to the Director, Clinical Applications and/or designee. A key measurement of the effectiveness of this area is the time required to recover to standard operating levels. Travel to other Iasis regions as requested to share solutions and assist with projects will also be a requirement.


Qualifications

  • BS degree required, MS preferred.
  • Licensed Pharmacist, Pharmacy Tech, or equivalent degree and experience.
  • It is the responsibility of this position to maintain license or current certification.
  • Experience with handling customers in a courteous and professional manner.
  • Minimum of 5-10 years of experience in inpatient or outpatient pharmacy information systems.
  • Strong Cerner PharmNet experience required.
